Using FTP with WordPress.com site

  I’ve heard that this is impossible due to security issues. Is that true? If not, what I’m trying to do:

  A friend asked me to help her change the widgets on her homepage, but not the other pages of the site. Unfortunately there is only one page template with a sidebar, so I would like to duplicate it, name it something else and edit the widgets. The only way I’ve found to do this is using FTP, but it appears that I cannot.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  You don’t have FTP access with WordPress.COM sites, also you can’t upload code or change code, no uploading third party themes
