Using GoDaddy with WordPress

  I just paid for 5 years with GoDaddy. How do I use your software to create my website using the GoDaddy domain that I purchased.

  Hi –

  Great question :) There are 2 ways to connect that domain to WordPress.com.

  1. You can map – https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  2. You can transfer it (this option requires the domain is 60 days old already) – https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Both of these options require that your plan be upgraded to connect the domain to your account. Those options are available here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  After the plan is added to your account the domain can be connected with one of the above methods. Click on My Sites – Domains – Add

  The domain doesn’t have to be added straight away. You can get started on building the site with your free address now. Write back with additional questions.
