using google analytics with wordpress
-
How do I get google analytics to work with wordpress -the source code has no </body> tag?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

GA cannot be used here at wordpress.COM. WordPress already runs it for part of their overall site statistics, and there can only be one instance of GA allowed per site.
-
“(The statistics were tabulated from server access logs and include WordPress.com users as well as visitors, as we no longer run Google Analytics across WordPress.com.)”
Extract from post on Firefox birthday from Nov 9.
Does anybody know what the situation is now?

Doesn’t matter. GA still cannot be used here. The code is written in Javascript. Javascript is not allowed here due to security concerns.

Raincoaster suggests that bloggers may use quantcast. Links to several different sites, as well as, quantcast that can be used are found in this post http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2009/11/10/blogging-learning-seo-is-worth-the-effort/
