Using Google Apps for email

I built a WP blog for a small school that needed a website. I changed the nameservers on their GoDaddy account and I mapped their domain to the new blog and they lost all email delivery. I’ve read this FAQ <http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/05/23/gmail-mx/> but before I disrupt the school’s email service again, I’d like to make sure that this will work for them. The school has at least 30 email addresses and they do not want to change the actual addresses. Will Google Apps work for that many addresses and without changing them?

If so, here are my questions about this process:

1. When I click the Google Apps link in the above FAQ I have no idea what kind of account I need to sign up for. The FAQ states there is a free 2GB account available but I can’t find it. But would a free 2 GB account be enough to handle 30 or so email addresses or would I need an Edu account or something else?

2. Also, the FAQ says, “If you have mapped a domain, you should see a link that says “Enable Google MX” in the far right column. Click this link. If you do not see this link then your mapped domain cannot yet have email. We hope to add more email soon.”
Will the link at the far right say “Enable Google MX” only AFTER I set up the Google apps account? Because right now it says “External NS” and is not a active link.

Can anybody help me figure this?
