Using Harmonic to its fullest potential

Aloha All. I am using Harmonic as my theme for my website. I am not much of a blogger (i don’t have the time) so I have it set up as a static page with menus for all my work. Im at a point with my site where I don’t know where to go from here. I would like to have the “portfolio” option on my front page as shown on the “harmonic” theme page. I need some help and input on how to make my site better. Any help would be really apreciated

I thought my front page was set up just like the demo but it is not. Have created a portfolio assuming it would show up on the bottom of my front page but this is not working for me.

Themes Staff like kathrynwp have been helping with Harmonic so maybe viewing the other Harmonic threads will be helpful
P.S. Please don’t call me timechief, okay. In the past a bad actor registered that username and then proceeded to impersonate me until Staff put an end to that despicable behavior.

I don’t know.. My brain can’t grasp taking my site any further after head down on a tattoo for 12 hours. Does anyone customize wordpress sites for a fee or something. I want the look of the from page of the Harmonic Demo. The portfolio section on the bottom is so nice. I have looked through the forums and for the life of me. It doesn’t click..lol

Well thats some true inspiration. I too, have come close to the great D word. Congrats. It does give you a renewal of our outlook on life. That is why I always seek more depth in my life, my work, and my site. Trying to capture the depth of our individuality in something as simple as a website. Something I have to do. :)

P.S. It’s in your best interest if we stop chatting here because Staff work through threads chronologically and when we post we move the timestamps forward which means it takes longer to get their help.

I thought my front page was set up just like the demo but it is not.
I took a look at your site and noticed that your front page is currently set to use the Portfolio template, not the Front Page template, like the demo.
If you’d like your site to look more like the demo site, you can assign the Front Page template to your homepage through the Page Attributes box, as you can see in this screenshot:
Let me know how that goes.

Hello everyone, I have question. I have also troubles with front page setup, i did everything as setup page said. But, I want to have my “front page” as homepage, means when somebody opens my site, i want to see firstly my “front page” not blog. I create page….set as front page, but it apperas on the right top cornes as a menu page and if somebody wants to see my front page, have to click on the menu button on the top right. Hope you understand my problem.

Hi tomonagy – your site looks good to me, you’ve set up the front page correctly. Did you get this sorted out? What specific menu button are you referring to at the top right?
