Using HTML, CSS and JavaScript within pages.

  • Unknown's avatar

Currently, I use Weebly to host my site and pages. These pages are 90% custom code with HTML, CSS, and JS. Will I be able to switch over and do the same with WordPress?

For example, I have a navigation bar that is made from HTML and CSS, with some JS to hide/show the navbar. Would I be able to use this custom navbar for my WP pages?

This will not be a blog, just regular pages. Thanks for the help.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hey there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

Weebly is a different platform to that of WordPress.com, so in order to use that code specifically, you would. need a custom built theme.

Building a custom theme, may be needless workload in the longterm, depending on the site that’s required.

Are you able to provide information or a link to the current site so that we can take a closer look.

This will not be a blog, just regular pages. Thanks for the help.

It’s totally possible to create regular sites and pages in WordPress.com, as well as menus with out the use of custom code.

Would you be willing to tell me more about the website goals that are in mind? I’ll happily guide you toward the correct route and how to do things.
