  • Hey there! Welcome back.

Can I add the code and address to WordPress

Can you send more context? Have you already created a full site outside of WordPress and now you’d like to integrate it, or have you designed it and now you need to integrate it? What do you have in mind for the WordPress aspect of the site?

If you want to share more info on that, we can refine our answer. But if it helps, typically folks will use an existing plugin and extend it as needed with their own plugins, just to save themselves some startup and maintenance time. It sounds to me like you’re looking for a Business Directory plugin, which lets you set up a site that connects businesses to potential customers. It’s been several years since I helped someone set one up, so I can’t recommend a current favorite, but I’d recommend looking at these for something that’s well-rated, recently updated, and actively supported:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/directory/

If you’ve already got your HTML and CSS and you’re looking to integrate it into WordPress, you can also look at the code for open source plugins to suss out how to integrate your code into your own. There’s a Best Practices guide here too.

Also, I don’t know if you have decided where to host yet. Just as a reminder, our managed WordPress hosting includes SSL hosting, direct WordPress support, spam protection, backups, maintenance, security, and other services and features that don’t come with the free WordPress software. And because we are a service, we’ll have your back in ways that the free software itself cannot. Extra code like plugins and outside themes can complicate the service we’re offering, so we require the Business Plan for plugin installation.

We wouldn’t be able to support custom development or maintain your code for you, but we can refer you to Codable, as they’re good at handling such things.
