using iframes, which plan to purchase?

    Hi,
I am creating a website/blog for a friend who will purchase the upgrade once I transfer the site to her account. I am trying to insert an iframe with a video (from streamable.com), but every time I save the page, the content would not show. (it shows in the preview though!)
Is this a problem with the free plan I am having and would it be fixed by one? (whoch one?) or is it a template issue?
    thanks for your support!

Most sites on WordPress.com use a shared environment, meaning that they all run the same software. This is great because it allows us to update millions of sites at the same time. It means we can fix bugs or offer new features very quickly, which is a win for you as users. Running multiple sites on the same software can also be dangerous. You would need a Business plan to use iframes.

    Hey there!

We want to ensure that all the sites on WordPress.com run smoothly and securely, so we use a shared environment for efficiency. This means we can quickly fix bugs and introduce new features for all users, which is pretty awesome!

However, because multiple sites share the same software, we have to be cautious about potential risks. If one site runs into trouble, it could affect the entire WordPress.com platform. To mitigate this, we limit certain actions on free plans, like using code such as iframes. But don’t worry, you can unlock this feature by upgrading to our Business or higher plan.

Now, if you’re planning to transfer ownership to your client eventually, we’ve got two options for you to get the Business plan in place:

    1. You can purchase the Business plan under your account for now. When you’re ready to transfer ownership, simply reach out to our support team. We’ll guide you through the process and transfer the plan to your client at the same time.
    2. Alternatively, you can add your client as an Administrator on the site and have them purchase the Business subscription directly. This way, your client becomes the plan owner right away, and we can transfer full ownership of the site without needing to move the plan.

By upgrading to the Business plan, you’ll enjoy priority email and live chat support, along with a bunch of other fantastic features like CSS customization access, real-time backups and restores, and the ability to install plugins and custom themes.

I hope this clears things up! Feel free to ask if you have any further questions. We’re here to help!
