Using images from free themes
-
I recently installed the Goran theme (https://wordpress.com/themes/goran/).
The functionality is great. However I noticed that after I installed this theme, the images in the demo weren’t also transferred.
I “see” them. For example I know that one lives at https://gorandemo.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/keyboard-338505_1920.jpg
I also noticed this one is 1920×1271. Yet the listed image size for featured Images for pages are 1230 wide by 1230 high.
If I need to obtain my own images should they be 1230×1230?Thank you in advance for your response(s).

Go to the detailed theme description page at https://wordpress.com/themes/goran/
Scroll down to the bottom at “Quick Specs (all measurements in pixels)” to answer your own question re: image sizes.
If you do not want to create your own images then capture copies of the free images on the live demo site https://gorandemo.wordpress.com/

Thank you. I wanted to make sure I didn’t violate any terms of use for the theme’s images.
Reusing them (for now) will save me some time! -
Yes you can re-use them but I don’t advise doing that because it may save you time but may also result in visitor confusion.

The camera image on the Goran demo is from stock-photo site Pixabay, you can download the original there, along with any others you like:

Let me know if you have any other questions – looks like timethief showed you where to find the recommended dimensions.
