Using Imbalance 2

Chose this theme because of images above precis of posts that appears in exampe. Am unable to get it to do that with the posts – just get text only. What am I missing here, please?
Also the example shows widgets across top and can’t fathom that either

Have temp (hopefully) started using another theme but it has less adaptability available, so if you view site the above prob won’t be showing
Want Imbalance2 because it shows images above text in an album format whose number can be set. Cannot achieve this ie add images to front page display even when used as featured images. Just get mini precis of texts
Example also shows widgets at top – can’t achieve that either
Any help with Imbalance 2 would be appreciated

Thank you for putting me right about my oversight re the link. However, I did attempt to explain that I am using Duotone at the moment in lieu of Imabalance 2.

I apologize if I sounded short: it is usually necessary to see what a person who has a question has done so far in order to answer questions.
(Sometimes we volunteers provide a solution after spending time looking, and without a proper link it has happened that the op will come back with the retort that “that is not the blog I was talking about.”

Perhaps too late and too general to be of use, but Imbalance is a nice theme once you get the details straight. I recently switch to it and like it quite a bit, but it has some tricky features.
Featured images info which is theme specific:
Thumbnail on main page and category/archive pages. Also in footer sticky posts (optional) when viewing single post. Maximum width 210px (downsized if wider).…
…To be more precise: cropped if/when larger actually means cropped when larger and in a different aspect ratio.

Hi!
I am using theme Imbalance 2 and trying to get the “sticky posts” feature working. All text in all of my posts is working fine. However there is a problem with the pictures – non of them shows up on the front page where the posts are directed.

Sticky posts and having images display on the front page of Imbalance 2 are two different issues.
I don’t see any sticky posts on the blog you have provided a link for.
However there is a problem with the pictures
So let’s take a look at this issue.
There are two ways on Imbalance 2 to display images on Imabance 2’s front page with its “magazine” style.
1 Featured images:
Imbalance 2Thumbnail on main page and category/archive pages. Also in footer sticky posts (optional) when viewing single post. Maximum width 210px (downsized if wider).
2 Custom Excerpts:

Tess, if you click on “Blog” on http://ccconsulting.wordpress.com/ you will get a page containing 5 different posts. All of them are tagged as “sticky posts”. I expected both text and pictures to go to the front page. What I am looking for can best be described in this example:

Do I have the wrong expectations on the function “sticky posts”?

Yes, I understand. Did you look at my blog? Custom excerpts of past posts, what 10 or 12 (I don’t remember) appear on the front page. None of them are sticky. Imbalance 2 is designed to display posts like that: many small bricks of summaries.
What I explained above is how to make those summaries display pictures.

I don’t mean to be too forward, but sometimes explanations I type are not clear:
sticky posts on Imbalance will not make images appear on your front page. -
Tess, I have tested two things:
1. I removed the sticky post tag from all my post. The result is exactly the same as before.
2. I used the “More-option”. Still no change…
I now understand that the stick option does not bring the posts to the front page. That is sort of built into the theme, right?
However – pictures are still missing…. :-/

You cannot put sticky posts into the footer. You can put widgets into the footer. Recent posts or an RSS feed. But this has nothing to do with making featured posts.

Problem solved. Pictures now show on my front page!
Solution: Before uploading a picture to a post, I clicked on the Featured Image option.

For the record, in Imbalance 2 you can display stickies above the footer (on the single post view).
