Using Koi theme, can I show summaries of my posts instead of the full text?

Is there a way to get my main blog posts page to show only a summary of my posts, and not the full text? I use the Koi theme on my blog A Bringer of New Things. I went to the Dashboard “Reading” section and clicked “Summary” instead of “Full text,” but that option must be for something else, because my posts page still shows the full text of all my posts.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Sarrah!

The setting you mention (Summary instead of Full Text) is actually determining how your blog appears in feeds and in new post emails. So, when it’s set on summary, your email followers will not receive the full post through email. They will only receive the first paragraph. The same thing applies for RSS feeds.

The best solution for what you’re looking to do would be to use the “More” tag explained here:

That allows you to choose where your content breaks and how much content is displayed on the front page. Can you give that a try?
