Using LaTeX on WordPress

  I’m new to using LaTeX on WordPress and am confused about some of the outputs I’m getting when I put some code in. For example, when I put in ‘textbackslash’ into MiKTeX, I get ‘’, but when I put in the same code into WordPress, I get ‘n’. Why can’t I use source code for MiKTeX in WordPress and get the same results? Thank you for your help!

  I have and it has worked for some codes (e.g. $latex heartsuit$), but I still have a problem with entering stuff I consider basic like textbackslah into LaTeX on WordPress.
