Using latex to make syllogisms and polysyllogisms in a wordpress.com blog entry?

So, I’m getting annoyed with WordPress.com’s features when it comes to making a syllogism with latex in wordpress.com. I have not been able to figure out how to make a syllogism with latex in a wordpress blog entry. I have been resorting to using code blocks and typing out my polysyllogisms. The most that I have been able to do is figure out how to get the “therefore” symbol to show up with latex.

I have looked on Google, and I did not find anything.

I just recently asked GPT-4 about the matter, and it suggested that I upload a PDF or image created from the use of Latex code.

Here is part of what GPT-4 said, “Note: WordPress.com may have restrictions on directly embedding LaTeX code or PDF files. If that’s the case, you might need to explore alternative methods, such as using LaTeX-to-image converters or LaTeX plugins specific to WordPress.com. Check the documentation or support resources provided by WordPress.com for more information on embedding LaTeX content in your blog entries.”

Example of my most recent blog entry with a polysyllogism: https://dennisfrancisblewett.wordpress.com/2023/06/03/june-3rd-2023/

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi there!

We do not provide support for LaTeX syntax or help with errors or issues with the code itself. It’s also not something that is in active development, so new features are not being worked on at this time. I was able to find information confirming that syllogisms are enabled however.

In the WordPress Editor, you can add LaTeX formulas in plain text by pasting them into a Custom HTML block like this:

To preview the equation, Click on the Preview button on the top right-hand side of the editor (not the Preview in the block itself) and view it in a new tab.

You can also use a Shortcode Block, as mentioned in the LaTeX guide:
