Hello, i have LR/blog installed in my Lightroom 5. It has always worked fine but since some time, i can’t connect anymore to my wordpress blog at balayn.wordpress.com I have checked the username, the password, all is ok, the adress is still ok, but when it wants to connect it says :
./LRLib_XMLRPC.lua:176:error:cannotConnectToHost:impossible d’établir une connexion avec le serveur
It seems that wordpress doesn’t accept any more something … I have already tried to reinstall LR/blog, the problem is when he tries to connect, i see he is trying to send the photo to wordpress, but it stops and this message above appears. Any help would be nice. May be the fact i have created another blog few weeks ago is a reason ? (a path problem ?)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

hello, first, thanks for replying. Second, i probably used wrong words and very bad english. I am going to try to explain better. I have no problem to view my blog. The problem is when i want to export photos from my Adobe Lightroom 5 to my wordpress blog. Before, i used to do it by using the LR/Blog plugin (see http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrblog.php). But since a few weeks, i can’t do it anymore. Nothing has changed at home. The only change was that i opened another blog at wordpress.com . Now, when i want to export a photo to wordpress from lightroom5, it gives me the error : “./LRLib_XMLRPC.lua:176:error:cannotConnectToHost:impossible d’établir une connexion avec le serveur” , and it’s exactly when it tries to connect to my wordpress blog. I know it could have been a problem with Lightroom or the plugin but nothing changed there ! And really, it happens at the moment when the connection is made with the wordpress blog. That’s why i thought may be something has changed on the wordpress platform , a library missing, or something else ?…
Tell me if i am more precise now …And sorry again for my poor english.

Was your previous blog here at WordPress.com? Or was it a self hosted WordPress site using the software available at WordPress.org?
While plugins are common on self hosted WordPress sites, due to security concerns, they are not available on WordPress.com. There is more info regarding WordPress.com and plugins here:

hi again, well, my blog is not on self hosted site. I just use wordpress blog which is hosted by wordpress.com
The LR/Blog plugin is a lightroom 5 plugin. And it interacts with wordpress blogs. I don’t know how. But mine doesn’t connect correctly anymore with my wordpress blog.
example : i have a nice photo in lightroom 5 software. I decide to add it on my wordpress blog at balayn.wordpress.com
Instead of exporting the photo on my computer hard drive (and compress it) , and then sending it to my blog, i have the possibility to send it directly to the blog from lightroom 5 itself. This is a possibility offered by the LR/Blog plugin (a lightroom plugin). This worked fine before but as i said, since a few weeks, it doesn’t work. The LR/Blog plugin can’t connect to the wordpress blog. There is an error (see above in other msg)Steph

Okay, so we were able to make that work correctly when testing here. So sadly, the issue is likely on your end. Can you:
1. Double check your address and login credentials that you are useing on the plugin’s settings page.
2. Make sure that XML-RPC is selected as the protocol: http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrblog.php?sec=wordpress
