Using multiple pages or blogs as a website(question)
-
Hi I’m about intermediate experience with WordPress. I have two blogs and understand about making multiple pages as well… I have heard that people use wordpress to create basic websites – i’m wondering if they do it by signing up for multiple blogs and linking them, or using pages? i actually did try adding new pages, but the one page is just too long for people to read.
any suggestions, ideas, thoughts etc, would be great. I’m not a beginner, but I’m not expert either so kis ;)

Can we have a link to one of your WordPress blogs, please? The site linked to your name is a Myspace and not helpful in this context.

oops. sorry. my blog in question http://comfortdollproject06.wordpress.com I have a blog and I’ve added two pages… but I’d like to try and make this blog into a very minimalistic simplistic ‘website’ if possible and just am trying to figure out if its easier by adding more pages, or by signing up for more blogs and linking them together.
I have a feeling my friend possibly used wordpress.org and paid for it, for his current website.

The option that can make a blog look more like a website is the static front page.
Other than that I cannot say, because your questions are not clear enough to me. Could you be more specific?

If you want it to look like a corporate website, set a static page at the front and use pages with little information. I write corporate websites; other than the Media and Legal sections, website pages don’t have much info. And keep a blog active, with updating posts, because blogs are an accepted part of a corporate website nowadays.
