Using my Go Daddy Domain
-
Hi there
I recently purchased a domain via Go Daddy, and would like to use it for my blog here. Do I
A) upgrade from my free plan to the personal plan and link the two together?
or
B) just choose the mapping option
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We have different plans: free, personal, premium and business. All hosting is free regardless of which plan you choose. You can view all wp plan features here https://wordpress.com/pricing/ Add a plan for your site here: http://store.wordpress.com/plans/.
If you want to use a domain URL that you purchased elsewhere to map to from your wordpress.com site, you have to register a plan and purchase a domain mapping upgrade http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/ that is annually renewable.
You require and underlying .wordpress.com site to domain map from to your domain URL. WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. See: Map an existing domain (one you already own) to your WordPress.com blog – if you already have a domain that you registered and purchased elsewhere.
