Using my own DNS Servers

  I recently paid the $13 to use my own domain name with my blog and I’m trying to confirm how I update my DNS records. I do not want to change to ns1.wordpress.com name servers but keep my own through CloudFlare.

  I would expect to just add the following records in my nameserver so that I can access it via http://www.gwynjonespta.com and gwynjonespta.com

  CNAME www gwynjonespta.wordpress.com.
  CNAME * gwynjonespta.wordpress.com.

  Can anyone confirm that using the wordpress.com nameservers can be avoided?

  Hi,

  We don’t allow mapping the “www” subdomain, and there isn’t a way to map your domain (gwynjonespta.com) without switching to our nameservers.
