Using my own domain

  Hello. I hope you’re having a great day.

  I have the basic free account in WordPress and also bought a domain in other service provider, and my intention is to use this domain in my WordPress site. My question is: using the option that allows me to link it with your platform will stop showing any WordPress reference in my website? Other question is if it’s possible to administrate the site with another profile new (with a new email).

  To add a domain you will first need to add a paid plan to your site as well. On the Personal and Premium plans, adding a domain will remove the word “wordpress” from your site’s URL (the free address will still exist and appear in your dashboard, but visitors won’t see it), but the WordPress.com link will still show in your theme’s footer.

  If you want to remove the link in your theme’s footer as well, you will need the Business Plan.
