Using my own domain

    I have paid to release my domain from Namesco and found I can’t use it free of charge here. Near to 100 euros is an awful lot to ask without prior experience of your services and the fact every piece of advertisement online suggests or certainly implies free service. please advice as to what I have done wrong?

    Hi there, WordPress.com does offer a free service like the site you have stephenharthill.wordpress.com.
    Using your domain however you would need a paid plan. You can have a look at the pricing options here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Please note there are two versions of WordPress. To learn more about the differences you can read more here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org

    If you want to use the free open source version of WordPress you would still need a hosting provider for your site.
