  Will I be able to use my own domain name at no extra cost here? The wording in the help section is confusing me :/

  You’ll need any paid plan to bring over your custom domain name to WordPress.com hosting. It’s not possible to bring a domain to WordPress.com on the free plan.

  You can map a domain that is less than 60 days old or if you want to keep the registrar you have: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Or you can choose to transfer the domain to WordPress.com: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Either option are included with the paid plans for the first year. If you transfer your domain in, the registration is extended a year with the plan cost. When the plan renews, the domain will no longer be included. I hope that clears things up!
