using my own font

  • Unknown's avatar

I have four blogs and I want to separate them with different email addresses and administrators. How do I do that please? For example, the loving heart foundation sites should be linked only to the lovingheartfoundationaustralia email addy. My tarotarcana site should be linked to my innersightandvision email addy. I will create an email for my financiallyfreefemale.wordpress.com site eventually too. Please tell me how to go about separating them.

The blog I need help with is madelinerosetarotarcana.wordpress.com.

Also, I want to use my own font on my site. I have paid for the custom service. Can you tell me how to do that. My site is http://www.madelinerosetarotarcana.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I have four blogs and I want to separate them with different email addresses and administrators. How do I do that please?

Each administrator will need its own WordPress.com account. You can start by logging out of WordPress.com and creating each account here:

    https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1

Once you have each account, you can transfer ownership of each blog to the administrator account you want to have connected to it. You can follow our guide for Transferring Your Blog to Another WordPress.com User or Account.

If you have any trouble with that, or if you’d like more help with it, please give me a link to each blog and tell me the username of the WordPress.com account you want to have own the blog, and I can transfer it for you.

Also, I want to use my own font on my site. I have paid for the custom service. Can you tell me how to do that.

You can choose Custom Fonts for your site in the site’s Customizer. To open the Customizer, go to your My Sites page and click the “Customize” link under your blog’s title there.

In the Customizer, open the Fonts section to choose your fonts.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Hello Rachel, thank you for your prompt reply.

I would like to add my own font, because your list of fonts don’t allow me to use the fonts I would like to use. I would like to use Eagle Lake in the text, and Great Vibes in the Headings. Is it possible to add my own fonts please?

Also, yes, I would like your help to set up a new account for each of my sites. Is it safe to put my log in details here, or should I email you?

    Kind regards,

    Madeline

Also, when I create a link, is there any way to change the colour of the link? My links can’t be seen due to the colour of the background on my site.

Hi again Rachelle, I managed to move my sites, but I still have the issue with using my own font. How do I load my own fonts please? And, I have paid for customisation so shouldn’t I be able to make the colours of my words vary? I have done this myself and copied and pasted it from a word doc, which is how I’ve been able to do it up until now. Shouldn’t I be able to do it with the editing features of wordpress though?

    Hi Madeline,

I managed to move my sites, but I still have the issue with using my own font. How do I load my own fonts please?

Loading your own fonts is not supported as part of the Custom Fonts feature. We are partnered with Typekit to bring you the list of fonts that you see in your Customizer, which you can choose from. You can also read more about the Custom Fonts feature if you’re interested.

And, I have paid for customisation so shouldn’t I be able to make the colours of my words vary?

You can make color changes using our built in Custom Colors feature, as well as making more specific changes using Custom CSS.

If you’re interested in trying that out, we have tips for getting started with CSS here:

If you have CSS questions, most of our CSS support is done in the CSS Customization forum by expert staff and volunteers. :)

    Thanks Rachel.

I have another question. I actually prefer the new blog name I created for one of my sites to be transferred across to. Would it be possible to transfer that name to my other blog at all?

If you’d like to transfer the entire blog (with the blog’s WordPress.com address), you can do that by following our guide for Transferring Your Blog to Another WordPress.com User or Account.

If you’d like help with that, please give me a link to the blog you want to transfer and the username you want to transfer it to. :)

I am not sure that you understand. I have my site http://www.financiallyfreefemale.wordpress.com that I’d like now to be named http://www.freefromthegildedcage.wordpress.com . I think that I like the new name better, but it was the title of my first site, and I’d like it to be the only sitename I have with regards to that site now.

Did you understand what I was trying to say? I’ve already created the new account and done the transfer – they are both now at the same username.

Sorry about that — I did misunderstand what you meant. I think I understand now.

It isn’t possible to simply change a site’s address (like financiallyfreefemale.wordpress.com) to a different address (like freefromthegildedcage.wordpress.com) if there’s already a site set up with that second address. However, you can export the contents of the first site and import them into the second site. That will move all of the content over to the new address.

I hope I understood that correctly, but please let me know if that’s not what you’re going for. :)
