Using my wordpress blog feed in my website–how to get a full feed with pictures
-
I am trying to incorporate my WordPress blog feed into my website, however I can only seem to get the text to feed into it and not the photos. Is there something I am doing wrong? Is there a way to achieve what I am trying to do?
-
What is the URL of your blog so I can take a look at your feed? If you have your feed set to “summary” in options > reading then the images will not show.
-
One other thing to note, is that if you use the “more” tag in your posts, the feed will only show down to the “more” tag.
-
Hi there–the url is http://sailorscove.wordpress.com
I checked options and I have it set to full text mode NOT summary. We do not use the more tag.
-
Oh and the website that I am trying to insert it to is http://www.slsailorscove.com
We are just beginning to develop the website.
Thanks for your help.

In some themes setting the rss feeds to “full” does not produce full feeds because the theme is designed only to show summary feeds.
-
Moreover, we cannot edit our templates at wordpress.com http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/09/27/edit-my-templates/
so what you need to do is find a theme that does produce full feeds. -
At this link you will find theme reviews for most but not all themes. The reviews include features. I’m not sure if this is among them or not but I’ll leave that to you to work out http://internetducttape.com/tools/wordpress/wordpress-theme-reviews/

If you want to put the feed from
http://sailorscove.wordpress.com/
into
http://www.slsailorscove.com/
then you really need to be asking at http://wordpress.org/support as the issue lies at the site not hosted here. -
