Using MyFreeCopyRight – basic questions
-
I hope it’s okay to ask detailed questions about this service? If not, I’m very sorry and won’t be offended if my post is deleted.
Anyway, here goes…
I’m a new blogger and ran across mention of MyFreeCopyRight somewhere here on these forums a couple of weeks ago. I’ve signed up and started to use it on my blog: sentientmouse.com
It’s a no-frills, free service, but I’m confused about two aspects of its functionality: how to deal with updates to posts and how to have it “see” all of my posts.
First of all, if I make an update to a post, I don’t know how to have it recognized that that post has been modified without deleting my entire record from its database and then re-registering my whole blog. That seems like the wrong way to deal with edits to just one post, but I don’t see how to trigger registration of an update?
Secondly, when I’ve re-registered my whole blog, I’ve noticed that it only sees a limited number of posts. For example, my RSS feed was set to 15 and it only saw the first 15. I had to re-delete that record, then up my feed limit to a number equaling my total number of posts, then I had to re-register the blog again to have it see them all.
When I think about all of this, I get the feeling that I’m missing something basic here. Is that the case? I can’t believe that editing an old post requires deleting the copyright registration for the whole blog and then registering it all over again.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read about my dilemma. I’d be grateful for any advice regarding this.
Thanks,
