Using Old Deleted Username

  Hello! I used to have another account but I deleted it and now I want to use the username but it says that username is already taken. What should I do so I can use it? Help please.

  Usernames are not released when you delete accounts, and can never be used again once discarded. The one way to use that username would be if the account was deleted in the last 30 days. If it was, you would be able to reply to the account deletion email in order to have the profile restored. You could then use that account with the name.

  If you don’t know when the name was deleted, share the username here and tag the post with modlook to have staff take a look.
