Using old domain name?
-
I deleted a new blog because I wanted to start over but now I want to use the same domain name. However, the site now says that that name is already being used (but it isn’t anymore). Is there any way to use this name or is it gone forever?

I’m sorry but that’s not possible. Deleting a WordPress.com blog is not easily done. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If you clicked it and the blog was deleted it’s game over. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
