Hi,
See the suggestion by @justjennifer in the topic “how do I go back to Classic Editor,” here: post #3351248.

Hey there, since your account is just a few days old, it may not be enough to switch to an older theme, as I suggested in the thread that @musicdoc1 linked to.
All the new Block Editor themes, like Redhill https://wordpress.com/theme/redhill, the theme your site is currently using, are made to take full advantage of the block editor. I do not believe you can use the Classic Editor with those themes. You can, however, use the Classic Block instead. https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
If you do switch to an older theme, and still do not see the option in the sidebar to Switch to Classic Editor, please let us know.

Thanks @justjennifer.
Another possible option:
I’ve recently been creating new sites with the newer themes, and find that the following works on them just as it does on new sites created with older themes applied. In the WP-Admin dashboard, each post at the All Posts page has links to both the Block Editor (“Edit” link) and the Classic Editor (“Classic Editor” link). Same is true in the All Pages listing.I don’t know if the age of my account is a factor.

Hi @musicdoc1 – I also have those options on sites I’ve created under this account.
However, on my newest test account since 2020 there is, of course, no link to the WP Admin dashboard from the MY SITES interface and even after going to WP Admin directly, the All Posts and All Pages dashboards don’t show those Classic/Block links in Edit nor is there an option to “Switch to Classic Editor” in the editor itself, even after switching to an older theme.
This is why I mentioned to the OP about posting back if they don’t see that Switch link in their Editor after changing to an older theme.

Hi @justjennifer. I’d forgotten some of those details. : -)
I find it odd that in the WP-admin post or page listings the editor options don’t include the WP-Admin editor! If I’m in the post or page listings at WP-Admin, isn’t it obvious that I want to do my editing there? Why else would I be there?
So in my case using the “Classic Editor” link is necessary on newer themes, but I’ve got an automatic redirect from classic to the corresponding WP-Admin editor.
