using other themes / templates
-
Ok so Im new here and i have read the suggestions and advice before posting and I havent seen anything directly relating to my question (if there is something out there I missed I apologize in advanced)
So I have my own PC business and a new wp page at http://lutchenpc.wordpress.com/ and I also have a twitter and blogger pages as well. Thus far I just have been able to get my twitter page where I want it and was wondering if I can use the same “theme” / template style / “look” from my twitter and/or blogger page to match up so my wordpress looks the same if not similiar?
If that isnt possible then my biz webpage at lutchenpc.co.cc has a unique theme and was wondering how I can translate that look into my blogspot? So far Im just using my banner from my page.
P.S. its to bad that wordpress uses css cause I am only familiar with html, which makes it tough to do anything on here. Why did wp decide to go with css anyway? I can only assume that other new wp ppl are / were in the same shoes Im in
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Themes downloaded off of the internet cannot be used here at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the themes listed under appearance > themes in our dashboards.
As far as HTML, there is no HTML here at all (well, OK a handful of obscure, hidden in the background HTML files that never actually hit the internet, but stay in the background). All of the pages for our blogs are built on the fly by PHP script files, and those files are not accessible to us since this is a multi-user platform and we all share the same files. Any change to those files would effect everyone using that particular theme.
CSS isn’t that difficult, and a few hours with an online tutorial would typically get you to the point where you could change colors and fonts and some other elementary changes, but CSS only effects the style, or look of the blog, not the underlying functionality. It is also recommended that you use the free preview function to try things out and get things figured out before you buy the upgrade – if you go that route.
If you type “CSS” into either the FAQ or Support pages, it will bring up more information on the paid CSS upgrade and what is and isn’t possible with it.

Ah I was looking for the same thing

I know you have to pay to edit your CSS, but I was wondering if you could download themes and then apply them. But apparently you cannot. WordPress has very few 3 col themes. But It’s okay I guess, we have to be happy with whatever we get :)

No, the paid CSS upgrade only allows you to edit and stylize the themes that are under appearance > themes. And CSS from other themes will not work either since CSS varies from theme to theme.
