Using paypal without a paypal account?

  I have tried over and over to purchase credits using an american express credit card. Each time, it brings me to a page that tells me I need a paypal account to continue. I contacted support and no one has been able to help me but they did say I don’t need a paypal account to purchase credits through the paypal option. Creating a paypal account won’t help me because I am not going to add a checking account to get verified. All I want to do is purchase 10 credits with my credit card. Please help!!!

  Right from the upgrades support page:

  Upgrade payments are currently only accepted through PayPal. To check if PayPal is available in your region, please review its worldwide offerings.

  You might have to go through the Paypal Help Center to figure out how to verify your account and get your credit card activated on that account as that is the only way to purchase credits.
