Can someone please help me with a photo problem.

I would have liked to have used a “free’ photo from a website in the post above, but I had no idea at all how to do it.

Cutting and pasting didn’t work for me.

I use Flickr to resize my own photos – do I somehow have to move the photo I want to use to Flickr?

Your help is very much appreciated.

The biggest part would be using “free” photos and photos that you have permission to use! Since that is the case, you can upload the photo yourself to your blog using the image uploading FAQ. Most people that allow others to use their photos for free or with consent, want you to host the image and not “hotlink” to their image on the net, so uploading to wordpress or flickr (if allowed) is most likely the best way to do it!

You will have to download the image to your computer, resize and crop it as needed, and then upload it to WordPress (below the text area on the write post page).

You can also download it to your computer and then upload it to flickr.

    Thank you for your help.

I am sorry it has taken me so long to reply, everytime I clicked”support” I got a “temporarily closed” message!

It was confusing with this particular photo, as there was no “download” button to click, or anything even looking like “download”.

    I’ll just keep trying.

    Again – thank you.

Hi sweetroise, try right-clicking on the image and saving it to your computer; this is what thesacredpath means by ‘downloading’.

Thank you hanni, I’ll give that a try.

    Much appreciated.
