Using plugins if I host my WP site on different hosting provider
-
Hello,
I’m currently on WordPress basic plan. I would like to install a plugin for accepting credit cards and PayPal payments. It says that I need a Pro plan. But, can I host the site on another hosting provider and use the plugins from my WP dashboard. -
You can create a totally new site at a different host yes :

Hi . Thanks for replying.
I will move the site . But if I need to install a plugin can I do that via my WP dashboard or have to do it via the new Host control panel? Thanks

Yes you need the Business plan to use any additional plugins above the pre-loaded ones here at WordPress.com. But if you create a site somewhere else with the wordpress software you can use any plugin you wish. Many are free. Some you need to pay for. You’d access your dashboard over there logging in via wp-admin or if you preferred you could work on that site hosted elsewhere via this WordPress.com account by installing the JetPack plugin.

Brilliant. Thank you 😊
That makes it so much easier as I can do things myself only through WP dashboard. Outside hosting control panels are incomprehensible to me.
