Using RSS widget to add Subreddit to sidebar

  Hello! I’m trying to add a widget to the sidebar of my (free) WordPress page that will show the five most recent posts from a subreddit foum. I used the default RSS widget for this purpose, and it looks okay, except none of the post links are clickable.

  If I try it with any other website, the posts are clickable, but for some reason it’s not working with the reddit RSS specifically. Anyone have any idea why?

  Hi @paulmfranzen,

  I’m not sure why Reddit links specifically don’t work in the RSS widget. I tested it as well and got the same results!

  IFTTT was recommended to me as a possible solution: https://ifttt.com/connect/reddit/wordpress

  There is also a plugin for importing RSS feeds: https://www.wprssaggregator.com/
  But you have to have a business plan to install your own plugins here at WordPress.com.

  Sorry I don’t have any info about why it seems that only Reddit feeds that behave this way!

  Well, at least now I know it’s not just me! I thought for sure I was doing something dumb. Thanks for looking into it!
