Using SEARCH widget for photos …

  I’ve set up a WP site for a client which uses product photos which I’ve set up into galleries. It would be great if customers could then search for the product they’re after, but when using the SEARCH widget, no results come up for text entered into the File name, Caption, Alternate text or Description. Is there a work around?
