Using Site Redirect to redirect from one WordPress.com blog to another
-
Greetings:
Our original website was created at georgelesterpsyd.wordpress.com. A new version has been created now at georgelesterpsyddev02.wordpress.com, and we have two custom domains pointing to that blog.
Google still brings up the original site for most relevant keywords for our business. If we purchase the Site Domain upgrade for the original site georgelesterpsyd.wordpress.com, and we point it to the new version at georgelesterpsyddev02.wordpress.com and have it resolve to the new blog?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Correction… that last paragraph should read:
“…can we point it to the new version at georgelesterpsyddev02.wordpress.com and have it resolve to the new blog?…

Hi there,
You can use the Site Redirect upgrade for this, yes :)
https://wordpress.com/support/site-redirect/
Also make sure you verify both sites with Google’s Search Console:
https://wordpress.com/support/webmaster-tools/
Once verified, you can then use the address change tool in Search Console to indicate to Google that the original site’s address has changed, and that the content should now be indexed under the new address.
