Using '' tag as a summary

  I’ve been experimenting with the Inove theme, trying to create a thumbnail view of a post, sort of an excerpt with a picture. Is there any way that I can use the ‘<!–more–>’ tag and NOT have the thumbnail and text above the tag be included in the full post page?? Thanks in advance.
