Using the "bubbles" on spun for different page-functions

Hi! I’m trying to find a “FrontPage” or a “webpage” template in wordpress.
I have looked at several that just seem a bit too “bloggy” for me, however I like spun, and was wondering if you could have it as sort of a “FrontPage” that then connect to diffrent kinds of pages though the bubbles? For instace: instead of having a blog post behind every bubble, could you have a bubble for a blog, a bubble for a Contact page, a bubble for an about page, a bubble for a Picture page and so on?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello there!

Spun bubbles only do link to recent posts.

However, you could use posts in place of pages. You’re welcome to remove the comments/pingbacks/likes/etc from the posts, and make them “sticky” so they always appear in the order you want on your front page.

If you’re interested in doing this, and have any questions, please do let me know!

I hope this helps! Take care.

Hi! Thank you for your reply, I really helped! Could you tell me some good templates for building a website? I would ideally like a FrontPage that you then click on “enter” (and I made a FrontPage with Canva so if I could upload that to the first page, it would be great) and then get to a page with buttons to different pages such as a “Contact/social media page” a page for a blog, a page to show pics of jewlery I make and one for the books I’ve written. Is there such a template?
    Kindly

    Hey Nina!

When you mentioned “templates for building a website,” it sounds to me as if you may want a self-hosted WordPress.org site. I wondered if this would be especially good for you after you mentioned have a home page where you could hit “enter” to come into the website. This is called “splash page” and we don’t have any themes with this setup at WordPress.com.

In fact, pages that you design with third party applications aren’t usable at WordPress.com, but they can be used with WordPress.org sites.

If you’re not sure about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, this could help:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

We don’t have flexible templates here. Our themes can be adjusted with CSS code, but any major adjustments — such as your splash page — cannot be added.

When it comes to the interior of your site, it sounds as if we can accommodate you, but I want to make sure that WordPress.com is right for you first.

Let me know if you have questions about hosting with WordPress.com, or self-hosting. I certainly don’t want to chase you away, but I do want you to be able to launch the website you want.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.
