Using the Custom Menu to make your blog look like a website
-
So, now that I have understood how to use the Custom Menu, and have the categories set up, will my posts go to the categories I set them to go to? Or will my posts only go to the Home page (or go to Home page and the other categories for which I selected?)
I tried typing up a mock post, assigned it to the poetry post, but it just went to the home page. Then under the post there was a link saying “poetry” i clicked on it, it took me to another blogsite.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It would show on the main page and also when you clicked on the poetry category tab in the top navigation.
To keep this from happening, you will have to create a static front page for your blog.
If you don’t want a blog page at all, simply set the static front page and do not create a “blog” page for your posts. As you write posts, they will appear in the categories you assign them to though.

to reiterate what you just said, just to assure I understand.
1-make the custom menu
2-create the categories
3-CREATE A STATIC PAGE so that posts will then be directed to specific tabs (categories).Did I understand? i am going to try it now to see how that works.
Thanks.
