Using the details (font etc.) of one theme with the layout of another?

Sorry the title is a bit cryptic, it’s difficult to explain in brief.
Basically I love the details of the Chateau theme – the font, title font, big date numbers next to the title, the font sizing, the link colours, the menu format etc.
    BUT
I really hate the spacing of it. I’ve added in some CSS (taken from these forums) to make the width of actual post content wider, and to move the tags to give me more room to write, but it’s not without its difficulties: e.g. ‘aside’ posts are formatted strangely.

Would it be possible to take a theme, say twenty eleven, and give it the accents of the Chateau theme?

Yes, but it depends on your CSS skills.

…very limited – I know basics, (font colour etc.) but so far my knowledge extends to that. I’ve been getting by so far with cheat sheets, and the codes from this forum.

You’re basically calling for a total redesign of a theme from the ground up, so it’s unlikely you’ll get free support for all of that in the forums. You might, it’s just unlikely.

I see, thanks for your input; I wasn’t sure quite how difficult it would be!
