using the 'read more' button

cannot control the ‘read more’ link. When I publish the blog, WP prints the entire blog on the front page and inserts the ‘read more’ button only at the end of the blog

That site is not hosted here and we provide support only for WordPress.COM hosted sites. You are posting to the wrong support forum and we cannot help you.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
