Using two font sizes in blog title
-
I’m using pressrow theme. Anyone know how I can use 2 different font sizes in the title? I have custom CSS. Basically, I want the font title to say: “Special needs adoption stories, HIV adoption photolisting, Ethiopian and Russian baby adoption” (in a teeny tiny font size or invisible font) followed by [the current title] in the same current large font size.
My goal is optimization. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Or edit a copy of your header image to incorporate the phrase in it, and upload that copy.

Will the tagline be a part of the all-important h1? I need to make sure my key words are in the h1 title according to all of the website optimization guides I’ve been reading.

Really, honestly, I wouldn’t bother with that. Put the words you want to show on Google for in your content, your titles, your taglines, but NEVER EVER interfere with readability for the sake of SEO. That simply makes no sense.
Search engines can read the taglines just fine. And the short answer is: no, you cannot put all that stuff in the title but make it two different sizes.
At WordPress.com we do not have access to the themes at the level you’re talking about, nor is it necessary. You’ll find that WordPress.com has more Googlejuice than any independent blog could have, no matter what SEO tricks they use.
In other words, the “all-important h1” is not really so important or relevant in this case.

Sorry, that sounded a little snippy; I’ve been awake too long.
Basically, you can’t do exactly, specifically what you’re asking. But it ultimately won’t hurt your blog that you’re not able to do that. If you need the words searchable, put them in the tagline; putting them in an image will make them invisible to search engines. And putting it all in your title will make your blog look clunky and amateurish, particularly as we can’t edit the themes to make titles two different sizes.
That is what the “tagline” feature was invented for, and it has high search engine visibility.

Okay, thanks for letting me know that the tagline has high search engine visibility. I guess that’s what I needed to know.I hope that’s true even if this theme doesn’t show the tagline as visible.

I’ve had Google pick it up, but it won’t help you as much as putting those words in front of readers. I’d change themes if you really think those words are important.
