Using username across blogs

  Hello, I have had a WordPress.com blog for a number of years now – www. doricdragons.wordpress.com – but recently decided to install WordPress on my own site – http://www.doricdragons.co.uk – hosted by another company.

  What I would like to do is have my WordPress.com username and identity transferred to my new site but I can’t figure out how to do it or if it is possible.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thank you for that Elte. What I want to do is keep both sites running but have the same username.

  I believe what you need to do is install the new self hosted by keeping the username and email the same with what you’re using on wordpress.com

  You can later install Jetpack plugin on the new site to connect the account and be able to manage both at single dashboard.

  Thank you, I already have the site installed and also Jetpack. I don’t really want to re-install if necessary.
