Using UTM tags in links for a better statistics
-
Dear estimates:
Is it possible to add UTM tags in links (like the ones that everyone use in Google Analytics) for a WordPress.com blog? Is there a WordPress equivalent to this tool?
Because for some people interested in traffic statistics (like me) is very useful to know if the visitors are coming from a newsletter, or a Twitter link, or a some specific email marketing campaign or even an AdSense banner.
Thanks in advance!

There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins like Google Analytics on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. If you want that then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.
From the support doc:
Additional Info
Can I use Google Analytics?
No, Google Analytics cannot be used on WordPress.com blogs at this time. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-infoThere is no upgrade you can buy that changes that reality. For Google Analytics you need a WordPress.ORG install. Here’s the comparison http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Actually, I was not asking to install plugins or use Google Analytics. Sorry if my english is not too good. I just want to know if there is something at least similar that could enhance the basic statistics area.
Thanks!
P.S.: I already bought some upgrades, so I don’t think that moving to a self hosted WordPress could be a good idea. But thanks anyway.

You are referring to this https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033867?hl=en To request that feature you can post a thread in the Ideas Forum by using this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas#postform

Exactly. Thanks for the link! I didn’t know that there were a Ideas forum; that’s nice.
