Using Word 2007

  I can’t get Word 2007 to register my wordpress account. I have a basic wordpress blog and I want to register it to blog from Word. When I put in all the requested information it still says can’t register your blog. Perhaps I have the blog post url wrong, but I don’t think so. The FAQs in Word are of no help at all.

  The access point URL may be the problem. It should be: http://yourblog.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php (replacing “yourblog” with your blog name of course).

  This is for a wordpress.com hosted blog? If it is, I am not sure if you can actually do it, but setting up a wordpress blog (other hosted anyways) is located here. I think it can be done because I did a search in google and there are some wordpress.com users that blog about using Word 2007 to post, but don’t mention how they set it up. Just use the directions above I posted and use your blog URL with the associated server address.

  Thanks tsp – I am embarrassed to admit it was, indeed, a blog url typo problem that was causing me issues. Problem resolved. Here I was thinking I had actually checked that.
