Using Word Press for multiple Student ePortfolios…
-
Hi there,
I am wanting to get the students at our school into ePortfolios and am presently looking at a number of options. As a newbie to WordPress I was wondering if someone could direct me to a template/theme that will provide the following…..
1. Multiple menu tabs that will allow me to have a static front page, then create distinct areas behind it for each year of work. I assume this would require some kind of nested pages/folder approach.
2. A template that I could easily replicate for each student.
3. A template that would be distinctly each student’s own, but something that I could still have access and control over as the administrator.
4. Something that is free (150 students multiplied by anything more than $0, soon adds up).
I’m hoping WordPress has something that will tick most of the above wish-list, and would appreciate any advice. Failing that, if anyone knows of any other solutions out there, advice with regard to that would be of immense help.
Thanks in advance,

You want either Edublogs or WordPress.ORG. WordPress.com is not really set up for multi-sites like this. You COULD make them all Contributors and pick a theme that displayed the author and make a custom header item for each of 150 students, but it would be tedious.
