Using Word with WordPress

Word Keeps telling me they cannot register my account. I think it may be a URL issue

Microsoft Word is not an HTML editor, web design software, or wordpress client properly. Better tools used well will have better results.
This is my final attempt to reply to a thread amidst what is clearly a misconfigured filter conigured by a vengeful fool.

I’m trying to use Word to write my blogs.
Inline image
There is the screen that comes up in Word that asks for account information. I don’t think there is a problem with the user name (my email address) or the password, because I don’t have any problem logging on to my account. The URL must be the problem
I’ve tried using http and https both for prefixes. I’ve also tried using .com and /xmlrpc.php at the end. No luck! -
First of all, thank you for your help. I’m trying to use Word to write and edit the text of my blogs. It says it is compatible with WordPress, , but I keep getting unable to connect to your account message.

@mostamazonreviewsareuseless thanks for your help – sometimes answers get cached so if you answer a question and it gets stuck, just add “modlook” and “cached” and staff can fix that for you.
@bergmancollection could you link us to the documentation you’re working with? Let us know too what setting you’re using, though of course if you’re entering a password, do not post it here. Mainly let us know what you’re entering for the URL.By the way, you can publish from Simplenote or Google Docs if you want to do that, for what it’s worth, or just use https://wordpress.com/post

Thank you so much, but that didn’t wor either. I think I’ll give up and use the block editor. It looks like that offers the formating features I was hoping to use from Word. I have another question. I’d like to have a link to a printable recipe in my blog. Is there a way to do that so that the formatting will look as created. ?

Hi, we’ve had a busy week — I just saw your other request and merged it into this one.
Please be sure to reply to a thread, rather than creating a new one, if your issue is not yet resolved. That way the history of the problem will be in one place.
Cheers!
