I’m interested in using WordPress to blog some of my original work but i am nervous about posting and sharing on public websites and having my ideas stolen. Is there any Copy write protection when using WordPress?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Please read the below support document.

    Prevent Content Theft

Also read staff reply from below thread
“There is no way to prevent content you place on a public website from being copied. There are plugins you can use to disable right-click on a website (on WordPress.com such a plugin would require the Business Plan), but aside from them breaking basic browser functionality, they are ridiculously simple to circumvent so in reality just gives the content owner a false sense of security while not actually doing anything to prevent content theft.

If you don’t want your images to be downloaded, make sure to only use low-res images on your site – resize them to the actual size they will display on your site so there’s no bigger version available someone could access – and add a watermark to the image in a position where it cannot be easily cropped out.

That still won’t prevent people from copying the images, but will make them less useful for re-use, so might discourage it.”

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
