Using WordPress – Cofusion

I purchased 2 domain names and registered a username.

I now find that it seems almost impossible to contact anyone at wordpress to discuss anything.

So, trying to cancel the registrations it says go to ‘store’ after logging in. There is no ‘store’ there is no ‘dashboard’ after logging in.

I tried reading the ‘get started’ and so on, but I’m afraid its gobbldygook to me.

Can anyone give me some guidance on this?

Where is ‘store’ and where is ‘dashboard’?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

ps – when I click on the blog name shown above it says ‘not found’

I suggest you not cancel the custom domain. You might not be able to get it back.

Give us the URLs of each blog you have. Give us the URLs you purchased, and tell us which underlying Whatever.wordpress.com URL you want to attach each of them to.

Dashboard is just the back end of the blog. If you go to http://i-nation.me/wp-admin and sign in, you end up on your Dashboard for that blog. Store is a tab on the left; there’s a row of icons there. You must have found it, since you managed to register that blog. It shows a 404 error because you deleted the placeholder post and haven’t written a new post.

    i-nation.me.com and thetearsofabillionchildren.com

    wordpress url is thetearsofabillionchildren.wordpress.com

i set up thetearsofabillinchildren then i set up i-nation.me then i made i-nation.me the prime site – then it all went slightly nutty.

So you’re trying to map BOTH custom domains to the same blog? Which one do you want to be the one that shows up in the browser bar when they are there?

Can I delete one of the domains? (thetearsofabillionchildren)

I want i-nation.,e to show up.

Will this be able to be found via Google? Or is it some kind of internal thing?

Don’t delete anything until someone from staff talks to you. The reason you haven’t been found by google is, your blog and URL are too new. Just set http://i-nation.me/ as Primary on the Domains page.

You haven’t written any posts on the blog, and you deleted the placeholder post. That’s why there’s a 404 error. Just write a post and publish it and it will go away. Remember, google doesn’t index addresses: it indexes content, so if you blog regularly it will find you faster. It normally takes up to seven weeks to index a new blog.
