Using WordPress for Academic Use

    Hello WordPress,

    We are students studying at Sheridan College in Ontario Canada in their Marketing program. Currently we are taking a Digital Marketing course that requires we make a blog/website and interpret data collected via Google Analytics throughout the semester.

    We understand Google Analytics is only available on WordPress via the Business Plan and would like to inquire about financial support on and who to contact for following up in this matter.

    There is no alternative when it comes to wordpress.COM hosted blogs. You either purchase the Business upgrade for $299 US per year or you don’t have access to Google Analytics. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2015/01/29/google-analytics-for-wordpress-com-business-sites/

    I believe you are confusing wordpress.com hosted sites and wordpress.org software installs on paid hosting.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
