Using wordpress in my company

    Hello there!

I am a user of wordpress and I would like to understand if wordpress as a company can provide blogs to companies meaning that the blogs are paid to wordpress as a service ad the blogs created by the company are only accesible by other members of the company and not by the whole internet.

    THanks in advance.

You can password protect, if that is what you mean.

I am having a similar problem. I have set up a blog to showcase the work my team carries out to other staff in my organisation. I do not want people outside my organisation to see this content but at the same time, I do not want staff in my organisation to have to log in to view the blog as this will discourage them from using it (they have so many other logins to remember!). Is there a way to block access to the blog from all users other than those working within our network or from certain IP addresses?

I have considered installing WordPress on an internal server, but my IT department doesn’t support MySQL at the moment and refuses to carry out the install. This is unlikely to change anytime soon.

    Can somebody please help?

There is no way to do that on a blog hosted at WordPress.com; you would need a login at the very least. It wouldn’t be hard for you to find hosting elsewhere and have an independent WordPress blog that you can integrate into your corporate structure more easily, although I’m aware this will get the IT department’s back up and possibly cause more problems than it’s worth.
