Using wordpress in school
-
I am trying to have my students create FREE wordpress blogs as a writing exercise, and am encountering a LOT of weird problems. For instance, one student has invited me to be a viewer of his blog MULTIPLE TIMES and EVERY TIME I get the same message, which is that his blog doesn’t exist. He has shown me, however, that it DOES exist on his own computer. What is going on? Here is the url of the blog I’m trying to view: https://feeltheburhn.wordpress.com/
Any insights about why this infuriating thing is happening? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
From what I can see you are already a viewer on the blog feeltheburhn.wordpress.com, however the only post there is also private.
Private posts will be visible only to blog Editors and Administrators so as a Viewer you won’t be able to see it. You may ask your student to make the posts public. While the whole site is private, there’s no need to set as private particular posts. I hope this makes sense :)

Maybe, but the problem is that I’m not trying to see a particular post here– wordpress is telling me that the entire site just doesn’t exist…

BTW, I do NOT need help with the blog nhhal.wordpress.com, and I’m not sure why that line was automatically attached to my comment…

No worries, the address of your blog is added automatically so we can have a look at your site.

Well, since there is no visible content on the site you will probably see an error page. If you could upload a screenshot of what you see to your media library we’ll check and make sure there’s nothing funky going on.

Sorry to be so stupid about this, but how exactly do I upload a screenshot to this forum?
-
Upload it to your site’s media library and let us know, we’ll access it from there :)
If you prefer to add it to the forum directly, you can use an online tool, such as https://snag.gy and post the link in your reply.

Thanks for that!
So, as I was saying, you are actually viewing the site correctly, however, since there is no accessible content you see the error message “Nothing Found”.
Once your student makes the post public or creates another page/post you’ll see the actual content instead of the “Nothing Found” page.
I hope that helps :)
