using WordPress is painful

    @teamoyeniyi

    I don’t have a friend, much less a friend with a computer or another browser I can use. What does that say about me? I am what I am, and this is what it is.

    Even if I do NOT use any word processor program, if I ONLY use WordPress, I still have the same problem. If I use no program except WordPress.com, then any problems I’m having are 100% with WordPress.com. I’m a idiot, but even I can figure this out. If the only program I’m using is WordPress, and I still have problems, then either I’m the most stupid mother “F” word who ever walked the face of this earth, or the problem is with WordPress. I hope the problem is with WordPress! Seriously, I hope the the problem is everyone else.

    @mytestblog48
    Way back up here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/using-wordpress-is-painful?replies=21#post-778987 I posted this:

    Please enable this setting on your blog > Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”

    Then open your latest post in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if it is back to normal.

    Please, please do it.

    Please try a test post and do the thing with the format pulldown like I suggested above and see if that doesn’t fix the issue and let us know the outcome.

    Also, do you have a link to a published post where this happened so that I can look at the source code? I don’t see anything on the site linked to your username.

  • Customer service does exist, and it’s no secret.

    Yes, we are closed for the holidays to anyone who has not purchased an upgrade within the past 30 days. This is primarily to help customers with transaction and refund issues while we spend some time with our families, though we can always be reached for emergencies at support@wordpress.com which is referenced several times throughout these forums.

    As for resolving the issue, please try the suggestions listed above. That should take care of it.

    The reason that ALL your posts are having this error is that you introduced a code error by your previous use of MS Word and you haven’t fixed it yet. Follow TSP’s instructions and you will both fix the error and prevent it from ever re-happening.

    It’s as if you drove your car into a tree, didn’t remove the tree, and now find your car is not running very well. You must fix the problem.
